Version 1.0, dated 5 November 2026.

The Spanish version prevails.

Mecanius, the program by MECANOVA LAB SpA, uses the following open-source components. Each one is governed by its own license, and nothing in the Mecanius Terms of Use limits the rights those licenses grant. Their holders do not sponsor or endorse Mecanius. Tools used only to build the program are not included.

Licenses are named by their SPDX identifier, the international standard for identifying them.

On the server

The calculation engine, Vysia AI and the accounts run on the Mecanius server, on the Debian GNU/Linux operating system (“forky” release). Everything in this section comes in the Mecanius calculation engine image, which is built once for each engine version, with the Debian packages as they were published on 14 October 2026, and does not change afterwards: the server is built on top of that image, without downloading anything. The versions shown are those of that image.

In the web interface

The interface is delivered by the Mecanius server and runs in the browser.

The “Spectrum” palette modifies Turbo: it keeps 33 points of its 256-color table and computes the intermediate colors by linear interpolation. The “Cool–warm” palette was computed with the method published by Kenneth Moreland (“Diverging Color Maps for Scientific Visualization”, 2009), which is cited as an acknowledgment.

In the desktop program

The desktop program for Windows is built with Electron, which includes Chromium and Node.js. Its offline viewer also carries a copy of the interface, with three.js, the IBM Plex typefaces and the color palettes listed in the previous section.

License texts

The full texts of these licenses accompany each component: on the server, in each package’s license files; in the interface and in the offline viewer, next to the component’s files; and, in the installation folder of the desktop program, those of Electron and Chromium (LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html). They can also be requested from Mecanius at contacto@mecanova.cl.
